Eclipse toolbits are made from special High Speed steels produced in the company's
own high frequency melting furnaces. Hardening and tempering is carried out under
rigidly controlled conditions to give the perfect combination of hardness and toughness
which is so essential to provide resistance to shocks, ease of grinding and shaping,
and edge retention.

The ideal general purpose toolbit made from a High Speed steel containing cobalt.
It possesses the optimum combination of hardness, grind ability, cutting performance
and toughness and can be used at high speeds on  steels of good machine ability or
upon the more highly alloyed steels at lower speeds.
