A clamp plate of patented design provides both downwards and sideways pressure along
a large area of the top edge of the tool, thus ensuring complete rigidity.
In case of the three larger sizes of tool holder, the clamp plate also permits cutting-off tools
of different width and thickness (within a certain range) to be held with equal security.
The smallest size has been designed specifically for use on small lathes such as the Myford,
Boxford, Southbend and Smart & Brown.
